Washers for Wellness is a not-for-profit charity organization co-founded by Jen Etling and Tanner Hobin in order to raise money for Pulmonary Fibrosis research. They will be holding their 6th Annual Washers for Wellness Tournament on June 7, 2008 at Deer Creek Park.
Tournament Details

Location: Deer Creek Park
Time: 9:30am check-in, 10:00am First Toss!
Price: $30/player - 2 Player Teams
Includes: 3 game minimum, BBQ, Beer (must be 21), Soda, water, t-shirt and many prizes!

Tournament Starts: 7 pm
Rec Buy-In: $10 per Team ($15 day of registration)
Serious Buy-In: $20 per Team ($30 day of registration)
MUST BE 21 TO ENTER TOURNAMENT

Buy In: $10 per team if you want to play for fun (and beer) and $20 per team if you want to play for Cash Prizes.

The charity washer’s tournament benefiting The Center for Autism Education will start at 1:00pm.

Tournament Rules:

$20 per team
2 People per team
Scoring: Box = 1 pt Tube = 3 pts
No Leaners
All points count - no wash
Feet must remain behind the front of the box
Play to 15 w/25 minute time limit per game
Championship Game - Play to 21 w/ NO time limit

Washers for Wattage Washers Tournament

The tournament is to raise money to buy a generator for the town fire hall. The town currently does not have one. The

tournament is August 26 at the Madeline Island Rec Center. Our goal is to raise $10,000 through pledges and donations.

Venice Social Club Washers Tournament

4168 Route 162, Pontoon Beach, Illinois Tournament starts at noon, two person teams with $20 entry fee.

Food, refreshments, and a DJ will be there.

What Size Washers Should be Used?

One of our loyal visitors Troy brought attention to the fact that we really haven’t clearly defined what size washers should be used. We at Game of Washers typically use 2.5″ diameter washers. These are commonly referred to in hardware stores by their inside diameter of 1″. Just to be absolutely clear we have included an image in this post.

Though we at Game of Washers have found this size to work perfectly, feel free to try different sizes. We’re sure you’ll notice how it can change the game.

If anyone has played with different sized washers then we’ve mentioned we would love to hear about it. What is your favorite size washer to use?
